About us

MGB Care Services is a limited company providing specialist care services to people with learning disabilities. The directors of the company are from a nursing and social care background and have considerable experience in this field of care. It is the aim of the directors to excel in the provision of progressive services for people with learning disabilities.

The company currently operates six homes in the Nottingham and Derbyshire areas.

Philosophy of Service

Our delivery of service is influenced by normalisation principles. We value people as individuals with equal rights and responsibilities who have the right to be consulted in all matters. We are committed to the empowering of individuals and to supporting Self-determination through the promotion of informed choice. Care is planned and delivered using a person centred approach.

We actively support and encourage full integration within the community and promote a culture of continuous development focusing on strengths rather than simply identifying needs. We believe that it is difficult to feel valued when the emphasis is placed only upon what remains to be achieved.

We are a company that uses PROACT –SCIPr- UK ® (A positive range of options to avoid crisis and use therapy strategies for crisis intervention and prevention) the Principles looks at a holistic approach when working with individuals who challenge.

PROACT- SCIPr-UK ® adopts a philosophy based on positive behaviour support. To promote a whole approach to working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviour through the delivery of accredited training, the provision of advice and support, and the commission of research.
