Heathfield Gardens

Heathfield Gardens is a well established home having been open for over five years. It is a large house, set in spacious gardens and is situated in the village of Tibshelf, near Alfreton in Derbyshire. Heathfield Gardens has 10 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms which are split into two groups of 5 within the home.

There is both ground floor and first floor accommodation and the home is decorated to a very high standard. The home has two well appointed lounge / dining areas with T.V. / DVD  facilities and easy access to the large private gardens to the rear of the property. Also on site is a large activities room with multi-sensory, art, and recreational equipment

The service users at Heathfield Gardens enjoy a very full programme of activities both recreational and educational, close links have been developed with the local colleges. Leisure centres are used on a regular basis, activities include swimming, horse riding, organic gardening off site, sports, cinema, theatre, local events etc Close links have been developed with the local community and the home sponsors the local under 11's football team and enjoys a positive relationship with the community.
 The staff team includes qualified learning disability nurses. The home has a high level of skilled and experienced staff  providing care on a 24 hour basis. The service is needs led and provides an holistic approach to the delivery of care based on individual person centred planning.

Accommodation: 10 single rooms all with en suite shower and WC 7 of the bedrooms are on the ground floor.

Transport: The home has access to a private mini bus which is used for day to day activities by the service users

Local amenities: Heathfield Gradens is located in the village of Tibshelf  and boasts a number of shops, pubs and a post office. Alfreton village is close by and has a range of amenities including a leisure centre, cinema, pubs and restaurants

Staff team: The home is managed by a qualified nurse .There are 4 staff on each shift plus ancillary staff. At night there are 2 waking staff. Extra staff are allocated if required to meet the individual needs of the residents. All staff are trained in the care of people with learning disabilities.
